In the Beginning

Opens: March 7, 2008

Closes: May 17, 2008

Written by Marian Kurzdorfer, Linnéa Leatherman and Michael Moyer

Directed by Linnéa Leatherman and Michael Moyer

This light-hearted original musical takes a look at the Old Testament with gentle humor.  Join Adam and Eve, Methuselah, Sarah and Abraham, Joseph and a host of others as they go about their daily business.  Ever wonder what some of those people liked  to do for fun?  How did some of them live for hundreds of years?  Even “The Begats” are interesting in this musical tribute to some well-known, and not so well-known, Biblical characters and their sometimes-quirky existence.

MDT regulars Linnéa Leatherman and Michael Moyer are joined by Michael Howard (Ali Hakim in our recent production of "Oklahoma!") and Amanda Coutant (new to our stage) in this clever and original musical written by Lake Station, IN resident Marian Kurzdorfer, Linnéa and Michael.  Featuring a host of fun songs including "I Am Woman," "Up Where We Belong," "Razzle Dazzle," "Two Lost Souls" and many others, this show is guaranteed to make you take a whole new look at the Book of Genesis.
