My Fair Lady
Opens: June 6, 2008
Closes: June 28, 2008
Music by Frederick Loewe
Book and Music by Alan Jay Lerner
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's play
and Gabrial Pascal's motion picture Pygmalion

Direction and Musical Direction by Linnéa
Leatherman
Director Linnéa Leatherman brings
back MDT favorites Michael Moyer and Lacey Kriston (recently
paired in Oklahoma!) to portray the irascible language teacher,
Professor Henry Higgins, and the headstrong flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who
comes to Higgins for lessons in proper English. Joining them are
Indianapolis actors Jeremy Cales as Alfred P. Doolittle,
Eliza's irrepressible father; Julie Dutcher as Mrs. Pearce,
Higgins' long-suffering housekeeper; Michael Merrick as
Harry, one of Doolittle's cronies and Linnéa Leatherman
as Mrs. Higgins, Henry Higgins' upper-class mother. Robert
Penney, of Lafayette, plays Colonel Pickering, Higgins' friend
who bets him that he can't turn Eliza into a lady by teaching her phonetics.
Keith James, of Crawfordsville, is double-cast as the
young man smitten with Eliza, Freddy Eynsford-Hill and as Jamie, Doolittle's
other companion. Finishing out the cast is Mindy
Phillips, of Rensselaer, featured as Higgins' maid and various
ensemble roles. Featuring the popular standards "On the Street
Where You Live," "I Could Have Danced All Night," "I've
Grown Accustomed to Her Face," and "Get Me to the Church on
Time," My Fair Lady is a magical show that you will not
want to miss!
