Audience members have said: "(It's) like having a slice of Broadway in your own back yard" and "Just wanted to say that the performance, food and hospitality of MDT is second to none...You have an Indiana treasure in your theatre and performers."  We work hard to earn those compliments.  We strive to present professional-level theatre and support arts education in our area.  Add to that the wonderful home-cooked food, and the quaint atmosphere of our establishment and you have an entertainment experience that just can't be beaten.  Here at MDT, we live up to our slogan; you may come as a guest, but we will do everything we can to make sure you leave as family!

OPENING MAY 15:

What do Arles Struvie, Thurston Wheelis, Aunt Pearl, Petey Fisk, Phineas Blye and Rev. Spikes have in common? In this hilarious send-up of small town morals and mores, they are all among the upstanding citizens of Tuna, Texas' third smallest town. The long-running Off Broadway hit features two actors creating the entire population of Tuna in a tour de farce of quick change artistry, changing costumes and characterizations faster than a jack rabbit runs from a coyote. Two actors, twenty characters and a barrell of laughs, ya'll.

"Howlingly funny."-Variety

"The audience...all but exploded the theatre with laughter."- The New York Post
